  • Creation of custom-made aligners - Based on the custom treatment plan, a set of custom-made aligners will be created just for the patient. These aligners are made of clear, BPA-free plastic and are virtually invisible when worn. The aligners are comfortable and fit snugly over the teeth.

  • Wearing the aligners - Patients will need to wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before moving on to the next set. They should wear the aligners for 20-22 hours a day, only removing them to eat, brush their teeth, or drink beverages other than water. As patients progress through the different sets of aligners, their teeth will gradually shift into the desired position.
  • Progress check-ups - Patients will visit our office periodically to check on their progress and receive a new set of aligners to continue the treatment.
  • Retainers - After completing the last set of aligners, patients will need to wear retainers to ensure that their teeth do not shift back to their original position. Our orthodontist will provide patients with a retainer that they need to wear regularly.
